What Personal Information do we collect?
We collect the following information to facilitate our services:
• Name
• Telephone /Mobile Number
• Address
• Dogs details: name, weight, blood type

Why and when do we need your Personal Information?
We are collecting your personal information through our website as a point of contact for your pet to become a blood donor where we have your consent to do so.

This is collected from the point of your data submission on the main donor page.

Information is collected from social media only where it applies to the maintenance of the Dog Blood Donor Register.

Our basis for processing your data
We are relying on your consent as our lawful basis for processing your data. By  voluntarily entering your information for submission we have accepted your consent.
However if you wish to withdraw your consent at any time, you can do so by entering a data subject request here.

Who do we share your data with?
Your information will not be shared with any third parties without your further consent.

Upon the request from a veterinary practice for assistance in finding a dog blood donor, Dog Lovers NI will contact the relevant registered donors within an appropriate catchment area and extended area where appropriate.

You will be notified of any changes to this process.

How long do we keep your personal Information
Your data will be retained until your pet reaches the age of 9 or a Data Subject Request has been received to erase or restrict processing.

How do we keep your Personal Information safe?
We use appropriate security measures to protect the personal information, specific measures include:

• Encrypting your personal information.
• Keeping your information up-to-date and accurate. Please note that, to do this, we require you to tell us if any of your details such as your name or address change; and
• Having in place strict security procedures for the storage and disclosure of your information to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.
